Ways to Interact
I offer online and telephone sessions.
How can working online or telephone work?
Working online or via telephone offers unique advantages in the therapeutic process. In my experience, being in the comfort of your home whilst working with what can sometimes be difficult to talk about, can actually help you to relax and feel safe. You can decide where you sit, perhaps in your favourite comfy chair, have a cuppa in your favourite mug, or even have your dog or cat sitting with you. All of these can help you to feel calm. Additionally, it offers the flexibility of when we work.
This remote approach can also remove geographical barriers, enabling you to access support regardless of your location. It allows for greater consistency in attending sessions, as you can avoid the stress of commuting or potential scheduling conflicts. The familiar environment can make it easier to open up and discuss sensitive topics, fostering a deeper connection and more productive sessions.
Moreover, technology facilitates the use of various therapeutic tools and resources. We can share documents, exercises, and multimedia materials in real-time, enhancing the overall experience. This adaptability ensures that we can tailor our sessions to your unique needs and preferences.
By embracing online or telephone counselling, we can create a supportive and adaptable framework that honours your comfort and convenience while maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our therapeutic work. Together, we will continue to explore and address the core issues, paving the way for meaningful and lasting transformation.
Isn't face to face a better experience?
Face-to-face counselling is not inherently better than online or telephone counselling; rather, it offers a different experience that suits some individuals' preferences and needs. Opting for online or telephone sessions enables you to create a warm, cozy space in your home that can also serve as a sanctuary for relaxation, breathing exercises, grounding, or simply being present. This personalised environment can enhance the therapeutic process, making it more effective and comforting for you.
Let's Find Your Key
Having been on my own counselling journey,
I understand it can be scary, difficult and triggering to work through the deep held beliefs we can hold about ourselves. It can be very tempting to work with the symptoms and around the periphery of what is really going on. The real work starts when we dare to be brave and tackle the cause.
I am a great believer that our bodies tell us what is really going on, why we are anxious, feel fearful, whilst our head can fill us with negativity, anxiety, fear and false reasons. By connecting to our bodies, taking time to ‘feel’ what is going on, exploring the ‘feeling’, can help us find the key to unlock us and release us from whatever is keeping us stuck.
In our sessions, we will delve into these feelings and body sensations together, uncovering the underlying issues that may be influencing your well-being. It is through this mindful exploration that we can identify the root causes of your struggles, rather than merely addressing the surface symptoms.
Engaging in this deep work requires courage and vulnerability, but it also brings profound healing and self-awareness. By listening to your body's wisdom, we will work towards releasing the emotional and mental blocks that hinder your progress. This holistic approach enables you to achieve a balanced and harmonious state of being, fostering a greater sense of peace and fulfilment.
Join me on this transformative journey, where we will unlock the potential within you and pave the way for a healthier, more authentic life. Together, we will build resilience, discover inner strength, and embrace the path to lasting change.
